A Tribute to Our Dear Friend, Ricky Supreme - By Milli Bell
To our dear friend Ricky,
You were a young marketing businessman with a love for hip-hop music, who fused both your passions together to create media outlet intended to showcase urban and Latino rap artists from all over the country. You were on your way to growing a large brand, not only because of your excellent skills, but because of who you were as a person.
On behalf of myself and other journalists, Fusion&Co, and all indie rap artists around the countries, I'd like to thank you for being such a great asset to the music industry, especially in Orlando, FL.
You were so good at what you did that you effortlessly built strong relationships with all entrepreneurs and young talent who ever crossed paths with you, simply because of the love you had to help share your #freegame. You believed in your dream as well as ours hence your marketing agency, Dreamer Solutions. Your passion for the culture helped by marketing and branding local artists, recruiting talent to labels, providing press, and networking with both event companies and recording studios.
You developed a platform dedicated to the culture of hip-hop which I had the pleasure to be a staff writer. I remember once asking you in the past what Rap HQ meant to you, and you mentioned it was created for your childhood friends to help support their music.
It all makes sense now, Ricky. You were more than just a savvy internet marketing guru - you were a friend and seeing the community respond to your passing proves that. You never hesitated to help and you really were always there to offer advice along with a quirky joke. Your presence was always felt and it will never be forgotten. You will be missed.
So, we thank you. Kissimmee thanks you. Orlando thanks you. Dominican Republic, the DMV, New York, and all major cities thank you.
I would love be a part of continuing this dream of yours alive.
