Nomination rules 

When does voting start?

  • Voting starts: October 30, 2023

  • Voting ends: November 2, 2023

How do you qualify for an award?

  • Perform at any Fusion event or any listed local platform from October 2022 to October 2023.

How many categories can you be nominated for?

  • You can be nominated for multiple categories.

How many categories can you win?

  • You can win as many you want.

How many categories do we have?

  • 26 categories.

How many times can someone vote?

  • Friends and family can vote once.

How many voting rounds are there?

  • There is one Public voting round.

Do you have to attend the awards ceremony if you make it to the top 5?

  • Yes! Awards will only be presented during the ceremony.

Awards Information

  • Fusion Music Awards are for Orlando, Tampa, Miami and Jacksonville artists only.

  • Award nominees must attend the ceremony.

  • All parties require a ticket for entry, with no exceptions.

  • The dress code applies to everyone. No mask, no entry.

Performances 

Performers were chosen before the nominations were announced and booked. Performers were not chosen based on their nominations. Not all nominees are performers; not all performers are nominated. Being a performer does not mean you are a winner. Performing at the show does not help the voting process.

Qualified Artists

We have asked local platforms in Orlando to submit artists for each category who they have worked with between October 2022- October 2023. Along with this, each platform must publicly release its list of artists. Everyone on those lists is qualified to be nominated for an award due to their participation in our music community.

Qualifications only apply to singers and rappers, other categories does not require qualifications.

Voting

There will be one public voting; one will allow us to find the top five for each category, and the other will be between the fusion music awards board which decides the winner. If there is a tie, Jennifer Hilaire will be the tiebreaker.

Nominations

Once the first round of voting is completed, a list of all the nominees will be released. This will consist of the top five for every category, those people on the top 5 are the nominees.

Winners

The winner for each category will be announced at the Awards on November 30th, 2023.
