Although 2020 has been rough, so many people have tapped into their creative bag and gave us great content. The music scene has hit a new level of entertainment with the restrictions of social distancing. Artists are now dropping more projects, Old released music is making its way to all streaming platforms, and respected artists are battling their hits out on Instagram live. I think it's been a great year for music lovers, minus missing out on live performances! As the year wraps up, I wanted to shed light on one of my favorite projects that were released this year.. 'Lemon Head' by Poison Suede. Poison Suede is an alternative R&B group out of Orlando, Fl. The group includes two artists Rudo and Lin, and two Producers Anglesh and J Taylor. I first discovered Poison Suede when they dropped their first single 'Slide' back in 2019. I fell in love instantly with their soul-influenced sound and relatable lyrics on relationships & dating.

Listen to Lemon Head on Spotify. Poison Suede · Album · 2020 · 10 songs.

'LemonHead' was released in October of 2020. I like to describe it as the album of interludes because of its' flow and shortness of time, leaving the listeners wanting more. There are ten songs on the project, all non-skippable with a few entertaining skits in between. To me, it was curated to tell a story from beginning to end. The first song, 'Crazy,' grabs your attention by production and the lyrics on reminiscing about a love that is no longer yours. The last song, 'Heart,' gives very sad vibes with its heartrending tone and lyrics saying: "Don't you break apart my heart." I know we've all felt that... My favorite songs off the album are 'Out of town,' 'Hips,' and 'Get Even.'

The group not only blessed us with a great project but two dope visuals as well for their singles 'Slide' and 'Heart.' I highly recommend to check out this project, especially if you're fans of alternative r&b. Listen to it from beginning to end because each song flows into one another effortlessly. The album is out on all platforms; please show love. I can't wait to see what they have for us in the new year! Stay updated with Poison Suede and their music on IG @poisonsuede.
