On June 12th, Fusion and Co will be hosting their second I heart R&B show that will be taking place at Soundbar located in downtown Orlando, Fl. There will be seven talented R&B artists taking the stage; and giving all the vibes of rhythm, blues, soul, and love. Sashauna will be one out of the seven performers. I would describe this artist as tranquil. Her vocals and lyricism are dreamy like SZA and Jhene, but her voice is deep like Lauryn's. Recently Sashauna dropped her single "Lucky" on all platforms. Showing her transparency through lyrics and her mellow flow. The vibes she will bring to the I Heart R&B stage will be unmatched. Don't miss it.

Sashauna is an alternative R&B singer and songwriter from Palm Beach, Florida. Growing up as a classical singer since elementary school; and inspired by SZA's Teen Spirit, the songstress began to make music of her own in college. Sashauna's sound is serene, euphoric, and unique, as you get a sense of high when you play a record. She wants listeners to connect with her creations and relate to her words. Sashauna is still on her musical journey, creating, learning, and growing with her craft. She is currently working on her first EP, Kismet. As she continues to work on her music, you can catch her performing at local open mics and events around the central Florida area.

πŸ’› When did your musical journey begin?

S: My musical journey started when I was in 2nd grade. I saw my school choir for the first time at chapel, and it instantly changed my perspective on music. I ran to my music teacher after chapel and begged her to join the choir, but sadly I had to wait till 3rd grade. But on the first day of 3rd grade, I told her that I wanted to join the choir. From there I went to an arts middle school and high school and sang classical music the majority of my life. It wasn’t until my junior year of high school that I wanted to venture out and make/ sing music more personal to me. That’s when I finally heard Teen Spirit by SZA and it changed my whole life. Once I heard that song I realized the type of music I wanted to create, I just had to figure out how to create music with my heart and soul. That is when my musical journey officially started.

πŸ’› What does R&B mean to you?

S: To me, R&B is a freedom of expression and a safe space to portray your deepest feelings, whether it is heartbreak or the discovery of new love. R&B is a chance to connect with another person and to be able to put yourself in their shoes or a chance to create memories with someone.

πŸ’› Zodiac sign?

S: Capricorn

πŸ’› Pick one R&B artist that you will listen to for the rest of your life.

S: Erykah Badu

πŸ’› Describe your sound in three words or less.

S: Euphoric, enchanting, serene

πŸ’› What's next for you as an artist?

S: What’s next for me as an artist is to continue to grow and experiment within my craft and to never get comfortable. I want to be the best version of myself and to have my music connect with as many people as possible
