AYAM provides a refreshing and yet familiar vibe to the R&B scene. She is soulful and full of passion. Her music is a full experience within itself; her melodies set the scene while her lyrics take you deeper. AYAM prides herself on putting her heart into every song and leaving her audience with goosebumps.

Her first EP, DREAMS, was her “HELLO” to the world. DREAMS not only explores the various shades of her artistry but also the different volumes of love. Upon release in early 2019, the world was shocked. Not knowing, that someone coming out of Clearwater, Florida, who just stepped on the scene could not only blow but dominate. In her latest two singles Endure Remix featuring the talent Ron Obasi, and Piano you can tell she has a lot more to offer. Needless to say, this rising artist is coming for your heart and not waiting on you to prepare.

Catch AYAM's (pronounced I am) soulful presence and voice on stage at Fusion's I Heart R&B concert. Her Endure (remix) speaks the truth on toxic connections and a perfect vibe for a chill night. AYAM shares her thoughts on R&B and offers advice to first-time performers, check it out below!

Where did your fascination for music begin?

Definitely when I was a kid. All my mom would listen to was gospel and Michael Jackson.

How would you describe your sound?

Soulfully refreshing yet familiar.

What does R&B mean to you?

R&B means putting your all in a song. The blues was a genre that was able to transcend, it would make you feel all the lyrics even if you've never experienced it. You add a little rhythm to that and it doesn't create just a vibe, it creates a scene.

Zodiac sign?

Virgo

Any advice to local artists/first-time performers?

"Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art." - Andy Warhol

2021, What's next for you as an artist?

I have a video dropping for the Endure remix that just dropped on Feb 1st. The video is scheduled to drop on March 15th. And as for more music, I am actually sitting on a few songs.
