Interview: Meet Your Cousin, Alex.
Your Cousin, Alex, was born in Grand Rapid, MI but is now residing in Orlando, Fl. The artist likes to describe himself as a word nerd with an open and dynamic sound. I'd like to say Your Cousin, Alex reminds me of some of my fav story-telling rappers such as J.Cole, Dom Kennedy, and Larry June. 'God's Work' would have to be my favorite from the project; Alex raps over a soulful, angelic piano beat, giving me a message to be more mindful that's when God speaks.
"We The Stars" - An RnB Anthem for the Everyday Hero
Theres not much to be said about this past year that hasn’t already been said enough. The cloud of negativity that has hovered over all of us the majority of 2020 is undeniable. However, that cloud does have a silver lining. It has forced the everyday person to find strength and empathy inside themselves and to selflessly look out for the well-being of others.
Poison Suede & Chill
I wanted to shed light on one of my favorite projects that were released this year.. 'Lemon Head' by Poison Suede. Poison Suede is an alternative R&B group out of Orlando, Fl. The group includes two artists Rudo and Lin, and two Producers Anglesh and J Taylor. I first discovered Poison Suede when they dropped their first single 'Slide' back in 2019. I fell in love instantly with their soul-influenced sound and relatable lyrics on relationships & dating.
BSR - Building a successful fashion brand
Founded by Samii Ryan, the brand started out simply with handmade feather headbands, earrings, hairclips and other small accessories. Painstakingly crafting every piece one by one to have enough product to eventually begin selling. In order to expose her brand in the very beginning, she targeted, of all places, music festivals. Bonnaroo, Warped Tour, and Bamboozle to name a few, was the backdrop to finding her audience.
Interview: Meet Kyron
Kyron, a music artist with a diverse sound ranging from lively pop to soulful R&B. An Florida native born and raised in Jacksonville, Fl but now residing in the city of Orlando. Kyron is no stranger to the music scene as he comes from a musical family and has been singing and writing music since the age of ten years old.
SHOP OPEN - A Brand with a Purpose
This is a time for opportunity. A time to tell your story. Especially if your brand uses the words Freedom, Unity, and Opportunity in the positive manner they were meant for. This is precisely what the brand SHOP OPEN is doing. The brainchild of ‘Crown’, an artist out of Daytona Beach Fl, that I was introduced to recently after being a fan of his music and have followed his progression ever since.
Whats Next for the Quarantine DJ
It's going on two months since DJ D-Nice exposed the world to the value and potential of live streaming. By no means is this a new and original concept. The technology has been available for years but wasn’t until everyone was forced to stay home, did it seem like an attractive idea. Now my Instagram timeline is flooded with every DJ on earth broadcasting live. But is it a little too late?

Orlando Hip-Hop Culture Mourns the Passing of a Young Music Marketing Executive
Connecting to Your Core Audience with Durell Peart
The music business should be looked at like any another other business. Whatever product or service you produce and sell, a key factor is knowing who your core audience is. There's a huge misconception that the blueprint to success in this industry is record a song, upload to the Internet, and poof, millions of plays and fans, followed by fame and riches. If that’s your business model, may I suggest the lottery as an equal, and honestly better statically sound plan for success.
Brand Identity - Yen Euro Marketing
Words such as “social media marketing” and “brand identity” are becoming far too carelessly thrown around from upstart marketing companies who I don’t feel have a true understanding of what those words actually mean, let alone executing the client's needs. In the paper cup, disposable world of quickly uploaded content, forgettable views and likes seem to be the measure of falsely presented success.
