She made her first musical moves in Brazil at the age of 15 when her single “Bring on the Night” rose to the top of the iTunes charts. Known for her rhythmically Alternative R&B sound and melodic performances Cym caught the attention of US audiences touring with Marc E Bassy in 2016 on the “Groovy People Tour”.
Paying it Forward with a Record Release
On the very last day of a chaotic and inconceivable year, I wanted my final article of 2020 to focus on positivity and hope. I wrote about an RnB record called “We the Stars” created by Orlando based producer @beatsbydeee. It is a musical and lyrical “Thank You” for everyone who thought of others before themselves during a time of crisis.
I use this amazing platform to highlight primarily Orlando brands, businesses, and artists or at least outside companies that can be used as educational examples for anyone in similar industries. The business model for new artists and producers promoting their music online, has drastically shortened. It has become, upload song, post once, maybe twice, and on to another. The development and nurturing of a record, allowing time to resonate, and test marketing to find its correct audience is an art that is all but dead and gone. This is why it was inspiring to see that 30 days after the release of the “We The Stars” record, @beatsbydeee and @compoundkingz continue the momentum and are building on the songs overall concept and appeal.

The artist gave us a piece of work that takes you through emotions of passion, love, coming of age, platonic friendships, and romantic relationships. Although the album's name can be a bit of a tongue twister, the track-list is curated to make you feel something.
